Important Notice: Bank Details and Scam Emails

Please be cautious of any emails or other correspondence suggesting that our bank details have changed. Fraudsters sometimes impersonate solicitors and attempt to persuade clients to transfer money to bank accounts under their control.

It is highly unlikely that our bank details will change during the course of your matter. In any event, we will never notify you of changes to important business information, such as bank details, by email.

If you receive any communication claiming that our bank details have changed, please contact us immediately by telephone using a trusted number.

Please note that if you transfer funds to a bank account that is not controlled by this firm, we cannot accept responsibility for any resulting loss.

Scam Emails

Please note that all legitimate Lloyd Legal email addresses end with @lloydlegal.co.uk and should not be confused with any other format. Fraudsters may attempt to impersonate someone from Lloyd Legal in order to involve members of the public in a scam or fraudulent activity.

Always check the sender’s email address carefully and avoid opening attachments unless you are confident the email is genuine.

If you are unsure, contact the sender using a trusted telephone number to verify the message.

Any unexpected emails claiming to have been sent on behalf of Lloyd Legal should be treated as suspicious and reported to feedback@lloydlegal.co.uk.

Further information about scams, including those reported by law firms, can be found on the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) website.

You can also contact the SRA to confirm whether a solicitor or law firm is authorised and regulated, and to verify an individual’s or firm’s practising details and disciplinary record.
